killer: A way of playing darts where the players "own" a number and then compete to build up "lives" by hitting that number until a certain score is reached. The players can also kill other players by removing the lives by hitting the other players' numbers until only one is left.

leg: One game of a match.

mad house: The double 1 score.

maximum: A score of 180.

maximum check-out: A score of 170 to end a game.

mugs away: The loser of the previous game that goes first in the next game.

murphy: A score of single-5, single-20, single-1, in a game of x01.

nine darter: A player that completes a game of 501 with the minimum required nine darts.

not old: A score of 37, generally by hitting a 5, 12 and 20.

oche: The line where a dart thrower throws darts from.
